Does it work?  Or is it simply another "snake oil remedy"? 

Read the story about what some skeptical sisters discovered: (true story, and no, the fairy godmother will not do any wish granting)

The tale goes something like this...There are 3 sisters involved in this story....(you see drama already, right?)   WRONG!

Well, one of the 3 sisters decided to go on yet another diet (the plot thickens, or was that the body fat?)...
The diet is know as the "HCG Diet." (and no, that does not stand for "Holy Cow Girlfriend!")...

Determined, this sister sets a goal and begins her solitary journey through the land of dieting.

Well, at the end of her 26 day adventure (to which I might add, she was very strict with) she lost 20 pounds.  Now, that is wonderful however, it did not reach her total goal, so she began a second round after a 6 week rest (isn't the rest supposed to be on the 7th day).

Now for the controversy (every good sister story needs some drama).  The other two sisters found this achievement to be a wonderful success story and while they both applauded her efforts, they wondered "was it the hCG or was it the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) ?"

So, intrigued, the other two sisters began doing some research to learn what others had experienced.

There was much debate as to the validity of the whole hCG phenomena leading to no clear cut and conclusive results...hmmmm problem presents itself.

Well, both of the other two sisters have been rather thin their entire lives, they have never needed to diet and always remained thin regardless of food consumption or physical exertion.  But alas, both finally reached that inevitable fact of life commonly know as the slowing metabolism.  Both have now gain extra pounds that they wish to shed.  But, more importantly (yes, the BUT is very important) they longed for the days when their metabolism was racing with the wind! 

The main idea of this hCG diet is that it supposedly
"resets" your metabolism!  This would be a huge delight to both sisters.  They were smart eaters, however, they both loved eating without guilt.  They yearned for the days of yore (does anyone else hear Prince Charming singing).  But since those days have fleeted, the idea of the hCG diet brought to mind...is it revolutionary or is it snake oil?? 

So began their journey to find out for themselves!
